The "House that Love Built" dedication

The “House That Love Built” was dedicated to the Jessie and Cheryl Arredondo family of Canton, N.C., through the Haywood Habitat for Humanity on June 24, 2007.

Thousands of visitors to our nation's capitol in July 2005 saw first hand the link between our forests, our homes and green building practices in North America when they toured the Sustainable Resource House on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

The 1,200 square foot Sustainable Resource House was then disassembled and trucked to Canton, N.C. It was donated to the Haywood County affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. This project has been made possible by the generous contributions of many local and national organizations and numerous community volunteers.
