Canton, N.C.

Open House:
April 29, 2006, from 2 to 5 p.m.
Construction:
April 26-28, 2006 to Present

Thousands of visitors to our nation's capitol in July 2005 saw first hand the link between our forests, our homes and green building practices in North America when they toured the Sustainable Resource House on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

The 1,200 square foot Sustainable Resource House was then disassembled and trucked to Canton, N.C. It was donated to the Haywood County affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. This project has been made possible by the generous contributions of many local and national organizations and numerous community volunteers. Please check back to see the construction progress of the Sustainable Resource House.
